A LETTER TO THE HOUSEHOLD

On the Tired Evening

"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."

— Matthew 11:28 (KJV)

A spoken reading of this is being recorded — it will appear here soon.

Dear brother or sister in Christ,

This letter is still being written. The pastoral reading that goes here will arrive soon, in the same voice as the others. Meanwhile, we would not leave you at a door with nothing to enter, so we point you to the letters that are already finished, and to a verse to sit with in the tired evening.

The Lord who said Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest knows the shape of a long day. He does not ask you to arrive at him rested; he asks you only to come. That is enough for tonight.

We pray for you in the tired evening.

May the Lord bless thee and keep thee.

A brother in Christ
